Free Character and Word Counting Tool

When working on marketing projects and websites, I occasionally need to know the exact number of characters or words used.

For example, a marketing piece may need to be 'up to 250 words' or a website's title tag should be 78-80 characters.  I couldn't find a good resource that did exactly what I wanted, so the iRapture.com development team built wordcount.us, a free character and word counting tool, to satisfy this need.

Check it out and try it. It is a free tool, so I hope you will use it and enjoy it.

Do you have a homepage where you keep all of your 'handy links that you visit regularly'?  I do and I set it as my homepage so I can have it handy everytime I use a web browser.  If you would like help making a personalized page like this, perhaps even at a custom domain, just let me know and I could help you set this up.   Then you could link to wordcount.us and other handy websites from that personalized page of links that you like and use..

Sincerely,

Jacob Barr, Website Designer at iRapture.com

Fair Tax

The Fair Tax has not been described honestly by the democrats and their advertisements.

Watch this video to see a good intro:

Gabriel Gifford's ad misrepresents what this tax and does not accurately describe the benefit of the fair tax.

We need understand what the fairtax is:

SEASON PASS TO THE GASLIGHT THEATRE: 6 Gaslight Theatre Tickets

I just sent out season tickets to the gaslight theatre (6 adult tickets) to those who are directing their state tax money to my daughter's tuition. (That I know about this year.)

Which doesn't cost them anything but a bit of extra time.

My company, iRapture.com, hosts thegaslighttheatre.com for 'trade' which is how I am able to give tickets to those designating their tax dollars to help pay for my daughter's tuition.

If you would like 6 Gaslight Theatre Tickets then please send me your contact info and I will send you a tax credit form to use... and then I will send you a season pass (which does not expire and is for 6 gaslight theatre tickets).

You can reply to this post if you are interested.

If you are already giving to another family, then you could give a portion to them and a portion to my daughters.. and if you do this, then I would gladly send you Gaslight Theatre tickets.

If you designated my daughters to get some of your state tax money this year and you don't get a season pass to the gaslight (this week), please contact me and I will get one in the mail to you asap. I really appreciate the financial help to get my daughters the best education possible (which is obviously at a christian school and not a public drain).

Sincerely,

Jacob Barr

Zoning and City Paper Work

I would like to buy a new home with room for my office on the same property but the zoning rules are telling me that I can't do that unless I go through a rezoning process. The City of Tucson zoning expert told me that the zoning change may take up to 3 years.

If I tell the seller that I would like to get the zoning change approved first, they will probably sell the property before I get a response from the property owner.

This is frustrating and unreasonable.

One Way Ticket

There are about 2 homeless people that I see regularly in our city. What if they could receive a free one way ticket to anywhere they wanted to go. I wonder if they would accept this offer. That could benefit many people in Tucson and provide a free ride for a homeless person.

Finding the Silver Lining - makes an opportunity

The Government is a Drain

I would like to have the opportunity to vote on a permanent tax reduction on sales tax.  And I would vote for a permanent tax reduction on income tax.

I plan to vote NO on 100 because the government is a poor choice for providing many things, including health care, dental service, education and bake sales. The government is a terrible steward of money and they do not inspire people to do their best.  Rather the government is a drain and a hurdle that good people have to 'deal with'.

I think people should be taxed less and the government should do less so people can have a greater opportunity to give.

I would like to see parents taking their children to school instead of the taxpayers being forced to pay for school buses and salaries for the transportation of school children.

I think parents should take care of their children instead of the taxpayers being forced to pay.

On Friday, Governor Jan Brewer signed into law Senate Bill 1070.

On Friday, Governor Jan Brewer signed into law Senate Bill 1070.
Since then she has come under fire from President Obama, Mayor Phil Gordon, the liberal east coast media, Al Sharpton and others who want us to back down from securing our borders. Rest assured, we will not back down until our borders are secure.
Since Friday, tens of thousand of concerned Americans have signed their name to Governor Jan Brewer’s Arizona Immigration Reform petition. This is great news.
However, with the attacks coming from the left and Washington, D.C., we need to spread the word and recruit others who, like you, support immigration reform.
To help recruit others, we ask that you take a moment now to cut and paste the email below and send it to everyone in your contact list. With your help now, we can once and for all secure our borders.
Thank you for supporting Governor Jan Brewer.

EMAIL TO FORWARD TO YOUR FRIENDS

On Friday, Governor Jan Brewer signed into law Senate Bill 1070. This legislation is another step forward in securing our border and protecting our neighborhoods.
I have signed a petition in support of securing our borders and calling on the federal government to finally act. I urge you to join me by clicking on the following link now:
Since signing this legislation, Governor Brewer has come under attack from President Obama, Mayor Phil Gordon, Al Sharpton and the liberal east coast media. Join me in standing with her and fighting for true illegal immigration reform.

Divert Your State Taxes and Reduce Your Federal Taxes

Use the dollar for dollar state tax credits to direct your state tax money to where you want it to go and if you do this then your 'taxable income' is also reduced which reduces how much federal taxes you need to pay.

Sincerely,

Jake

Jesus vs Satan on the PC :)

Jesus and Satan were having an on-going argument about who was better on the computer. They had been going at it for days, and frankly God was tired of hearing all the bickering.

Finally fed up, God said, 'THAT'S IT! I have had enough. I am going to set up a test that will run for two hours, and from those results, I will judge who does the better job.'

So Satan and Jesus sat down at the keyboards and typed away.

  They moused.

  They faxed.

  They e-mailed.

  They e-mailed with attachments.

  They downloaded.

  They did spreadsheets!

  They wrote reports.

  They created labels and cards.

  They created charts and graphs.

They did some genealogy reports .

They did every job known to man.

Jesus worked with heavenly efficiency and Satan was faster than hell.

Then, ten minutes before their time was up, lightning suddenly flashed  across the sky, thunder rolled, rain poured, and, of course, the power went off.

Satan stared at his blank screen and screamed every curse word
known in the underworld.

  Jesus just sighed.

Finally the electricity came back on, and each of them restarted their computers. Satan started searching frantically, screaming:

'It's gone! It's all GONE! 'I lost everything when the power went out!'

Meanwhile, Jesus quietly started printing out all of his files from the past two hours of work.

Satan observed this and became irate. 'Wait!' he screamed. 'That's not fair! He cheated! How come he has all his work and I don't have any?

God just shrugged and said,

JESUS SAVES....

Census

I reported that 9,999,999,999,999 people live in my household.  My last name is FairTax.  My first name is Avoid Debt.

I hope they count me.

Update:  I decided to not mail it because it has my address on the front (in a barcode) so I didn't want to identify myself for getting a fine.

Direct Your State Tax Money

I just setup a new website today to try and direct tax money from our wasteful government towards the private sector.  To partcipate, not only will it not cost you anything in the end (because you get your money returned to you with the tax credit) but you will actually save on your federal taxes since participation reduces your taxable income.

Visit PrivateSchoolTaxCredit.com to see how you can direct your money towards to a Private School through the dollar for dollar Arizona state tax credit.

Unemployment and Food Stamps in exchange for working

If we must have unemployment and food stamps, then those that are collecting this money should be required to earn it by working.

I want a flat tax or a fair tax

I feel the pain because I actually write a check every month to the federal government and to the state every 3 months.

Job Creation

Job Creation

The loser president and Pelosi and Reid want to spend 50 billion to create jobs.  This mean that they are going to spend 50 Billion that we obviously don't have and put the people further in debt..  What is their track record look like for creating jobs.  They would be more successful to reduce taxes by 50 billion instead of spending 50 billion.  But they keep promoting 'bad ideas' and continue to 'punish those who are prudent and work hard'.

They need to reduce taxes and stop being a millstone around the neck of businesses.  The government sure does fail when it comes to being a job creator.  The very thing that they think will create job, actually reduces jobs through frustration and higher taxes.
